About Us

I am pleased to say that there have been very few installation/operation problems reported with The Sole Solution.

Problem

Resolution

I receive the following error when I try to open the Journals:

[ADODC]:Unknown error.[ADO] OR

[Error in loading DLL]

Error Frequency: Very Rare

There are a number of system components that are usually pre-installed on most PC's. I have run across a few Windows 98 PC's that do not have these system components installed.

Should you run into this problem, the SS 1.0.3 CD includes a program named mdac_typ26.exe OR mdac_typ.exe. If you run this program and reboot your machine, your problem should be resolved.

BE SURE TO TURN YOUR VIRUS AND/OR FIREWALL SOFTWARE OFF TEMPORARILY WHILE INSTALLING THIS PROGRAM.

If you downloaded 1.0.3 from the secure website you can obtain this program directly from Microsoft at the URL below:

The Microsoft engineer I spoke with said it doesn't matter which version you download, they SHOULD all work fine. I personally am using version 2.6. This is a fairly large file...about 5mb http://www.microsoft.com/data/download.htm

I receive the following error when I try to open the Journals:

OBJECT VARIABLE OR WITH BLOCK VARIABLE NOT SET

Frequency: Extremely Rare

As with the problem above, there are a number of system components that are usually pre-installed on most PC's. I have run across a few users who do not have Microsoft Jet installed on their PC's. This can easily be fixed by downloading Microsoft Jet 4.0 from Microsoft's website:

http://www.microsoft.com/data/download_Jet4SP3.htm

I installed 1.0.2 first and then installed 1.0.3

The program is running correctly but the information in my journals is missing.

What's wrong?

Frequency: Very Rare

In 1.0.2 journal information was stored in your c:\windows folder. Because of potential problems putting this file in the windows folder, version 1.0.3 stores your journal information in your The Sole Solution directory.

All you need to do is to find SSdb.mdb in your c:\windows directory and copy or move it to your The Sole Solution directory.

The default location for The Sole Solution directory is c:\Program Files\The Sole Solution.

I downloaded 1.0.2 from the web (1.0.2 was never available on CD)

The total number of cast on stitches doesn't appear to be correct.

What's wrong?

There was an error in the 1.0.2 download. Please download 1.0.3. You will be able to download the smaller version which is only about 1 mb.
