Knit hats!

The book may have a silly shape but it has some seriously fun to knit, challenging hat patterns. Clear instruction for children to adult sizes. Most are knitted on double-pointed needles in worsted weight wool with all kinds of decorations, (carrots or morning glories?), and shapes from pill box in lumpy yarn to mohair berets to hats with flaps. Hey, you might even learn a new stitch, like the headbands in a double-knit fair isle-like pattern. Good chart layout.

Quick knit projects from beautiful yarn! Great ideas for home knitting include pillows, cushions, bath sets, kitchen items like placemats and napkin holders, felted tote bags, pot holders, baskets and backpacks! The list continues with knitted hanger covers, purses, cell phone covers, felted mice and even a checker-board picnic blanket. The list goes on but I'm tired of typing. Soft cover, 144 pages.

Elizabeth Zimmermann. A wonderful knitting book for both new and experienced knitters. Includes projects for each month of the year. Projects include sweaters, afghans, baby items, mittens, socks (EZ's re-solable moccasin socks), shawls and more. Written in EZ's narrative style, you'll enjoy reading it as much as knitting the projects.
